Beginning in Kolkata (Calcutta), the cultural capital of India, this journey reveals the finest of the region. Venturing into the hills, this tour captures the beautiful Buddhist monasteries that scatter the landscape. The journey ends in the remote hill station of Darjeeling, which is set among beautiful mountain scenery, tea plantations and an abundance of flowers.

The state of Orissa is home to some of the finest temples in India, including the magnificent 13th-century Sun Temple at Konark and the vast complex devoted to Lord Jagannath in Puri.

Day 01: Arrive Kolkatta
Arrive Kolkata, upon arrival our representative will meet you and transfer you to the Hotel and Check in at the hotel
Overnight in Kolkata

Day 02: Kolkatta
Full day city sightseeing tour of Kolkata - visiting Howrah Bridge, Flower and spice market,Victoria Memorial.
Afternoon visit the famous area of artisans, known as Kumatuli , St Paul's Cathedral, Kali Temple and Ramakrishna Mission. Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 03: Kolkatta – Bagdogra (Flight) - Darjeeling
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Bagdogra
Upon arrival our representative will meet you and transfer you to Darjeeling (70kms/4 hours).
Arrive and check in at the hotel
Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 04: Darjeeling
Early in the morning visit Tiger Hill (accessible by jeep only). At sunrise, the snow clad mountain peaks constitute a glorious feast of colour. Return to your hotel visiting the Ghoom monastery on the way.
Later in the morning, proceed on a halfday tour of Darjeeling which covers Lebong village which has the highest race course in the world, the Mountaineering Institute, the House of Tensing Norgay and the Botanical Gardens. You can also visit the Tibetan refugee camps. Later visit the tea gardens. Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 05: Darjeeling
Early morning take a joy train ride in Toy Train (Sector-Darjeeling to Kurseong),the train ride would take you through some of the amazing landscapes and engineering marvels such as Batasia Loop, it would also take you through Ghoom which was once upon a time considered to be the highest railway station in the world before the Chinese took railway lines to Lhasa.On arrival in Kurseong railway station, You will be transfered back to hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 06: Darjeeling – Pelling
Morning drive to Pelling
Upon arrival, check in at hotel
Afternoon visit Pemayansgtse monastery
Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 07: Pelling – Gangtok
Morning drive to Gangtok en route visit Rumtek monaster, the largest in Sikim.
Upon arrival, check in at hotel
Afternoon drive to Gangtok, upon arrival, check in at hotel

Day 08: Gangtok
Early morning excursion trip to Tsongo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Temple
Also visit Nathu la Pass.
Afternoon sightseeing of Rumtek Monastery and then proceed for sightseeing of Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology and Director of Handicraft and Handloom.
Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 09: Gangtok - Kalimpong (115 kms / 05 hrs)
Morning drive to Kalimpong
Upon arrival, check in at Hotel
Later proceed for half day sightseeing of Kalimpong visit the different 'Gompas' which are Tibetans-Buddhist Monasteries and the flower nurseries Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 10: Kalimpong – Bagdogra / Kolkatta / Bhubaneshwar (Flight)
Morning transfer to Bagdogra airport to board the flight for Kolkata
Transfer to airport for flight to Kolkatta
Connecting flight to Bhubaneshwar
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel
Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 11: Bhubaneshwar
Morning visit the Paruramesvara and Muketshwar temples
Afternoon visit to Udayagiri and Kandhagiri Caves which are excellent temples of Jain Caves art
Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 12: Bhubaneshwar – Puri
Drive to Puri, en route visiting Konark, a world heritage site renowned for its magnificent Sun Temple.
Continue to Puri, Up on arrival, check in at hotel
Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 13: Puri
Morning enjoy viewing the sacred Jagannath temple, Although foreigner are not allowed to enter the temple, a tour of the exterior and market area fascinating. Rest of the day is at leisure, overnight at hotel (B,L,D)

Day 14: Puri – Bhubaneswar
Morning visit in the city
Afternoon drive to Bhubaneshwar
Upon arrival, check in at hotel
Overnight at the hotel (B,L,D)

Day 15: Departure Bhubenshwar
Transfer to the airport and fly to Kolkatta to connect with your international flight back home. (B)

Important Note:
Permit is required for visiting Sikkim which can be obtained from the Indian Embassy. KAPSKA Voyages can also arrange the same from the District Magistrate Office in Darjeeling provided all necessary details are advised 45 days prior to arrival in to India.
